Thanks to a tweet sent out through the official Resident Evil Twitter account, it has been confirmed that Resident Evil VII will not have any micro-transactions. This will come to a pleasant surprise to several gamers as there won’t be anything locked behind a paywall that could potentially help players complete the campaign.

Recently a leaked that detailed some pre-order bonuses for Resident Evil VII have started to spread rumors online that micro-transactions would be an aspect in the upcoming video game release. After all, small micro-transactions have become the norm for video game releases lately. Capcom has since taken the time to kill off the rumor by stating the leaked preorder bonuses are real, but there will not be any micro-transactions.
