Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 has one last DLC pack in store before the release of Infinite Warfare this November. Check out what’s ahead in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Salvation, coming this September to PS4.
Salvation brings the conclusion to the Origins Zombies adventure, alongside the standard offering of new maps available for these kinds of updates. But moreover, it brings together many of the hidden easter eggs scattered throughout Call of Duty games since World at War.
“With the release of Zombies as an Easter Egg in 2008’s Call of Duty: World at War, Treyarch set forth on a journey – or, really a conversation – with fans, and Revelations is the final punctuation mark,” said Director of Zombies at Treyarch, Jason Blundell. “The secrets we laid out years ago will finally make sense – we’ve been waiting a long time for this.”
Dempsey, Nikolai, Richtofen, and Takeo face Doctor Money in The House, encountering an ancient evil that forces the team to fight off against zombies one last time to save their own lives.
“Without a doubt, this is the most epic season of DLC that we’ve ever created for fans of Multiplayer and Zombies,” said Studio Head of Treyarch, Mark Lamia. “At this point it goes without saying, that Zombies has been a true labor of love for the studio, and I’m proud to say that this will be a defining and epic experience for the fans who have joined us over the last 8 years.”
Salvation has four different multiplayer maps. Two of them are from previous Treyarch Call of Duty titles, while the other two are made specifically for this new DLC.
- Citadel: An ancient medieval castle that’ll focus a lot on close-quarters combat. The drawbridge and moat add a bit of flavor to this mid-sized map.
- Micro: You’re shrunk down to a small size, tossed into a battle that takes place on a picnic table food spread.
- Outlaw: Taking the Standoff map from Call of Duty: Black Ops II and giving it a Western style revamp.
- Rupture: The Call of Duty: World at War map Outskirts gets a high-tech futuristic re-styling to it.
Call of Duty: Black Ops III get the Salvation DLC on September 6th for PS4. The other systems (PC, Xbox One) will get it later on. For updates in the meantime, check out their website, Twitter, and Facebook.
