We now have an interesting explanation on why GTA 6’s Extended Look is coming to Netflix.

Millie A shared this claim on Twitter:
Rockstar planned an in-depth look with Take-Two and discussed ‘probability of leaks’ via YouTube. Take-Two approached Netflix who jumped at the chance to showcase the gameplay reveal and in-depth look.
Take-Two also discussed with Marketing partner Sony, who loved the concept.
She also revealed this in response to another Twitter user:
Netflix didn’t pay for it.
While we cannot vouch for Millie’s credibility, this sounds like a credible rationale for why Take-Two and Rockstar chose to bring the Extended Look to Netflix. The first GTA 6 trailer famously leaked days earlier than intended, because hackers managed to compromise Rockstar’s YouTube account.
Jason Schreier claims in a recent video that there is a reason Take-Two brought the Extended Look to Netflix that is not related to money. He also pointed out that Netflix has a different reach from the average video game platform, as well as YouTube.
