Another franchise has been bitten by the t-virus as now Tomb Raider will be seeing a new zombie mode. This comes in with the celebrating of the franchises twenty year anniversary. Take a quick glimpse at the trailer above to see Lara Croft hunting down hordes of zombies in action.
Rise of the Tomb Raider, the sequel to the 2013 franchise reboot, was a critical success. Now that the IP is about to hit its twentieth year anniversary, players will find that Lara Croft will be receiving two new game modes, one of which will bring in a new supernatural phenomenon, zombies.
Rise of the Tomb Raider: The 20 Year Celebration will be the first time the video game makes its way onto the PlayStation 4 and with it comes the Blood Ties mode. Blood Ties is a new story chapter for Lara Croft as she must search the Croft Manor in order to find her claim to the estate.
Additionally, there is a new Lara’s Nightmare mode that will put Lara Croft into the Croft Manor with hordes of zombies. Likewise, gamers will also be able to enjoy the PlayStation VR headset for the video game. This is a minor bonus as the video game is likely to sell just fine for the console as it will be a new release entirely for Sony PlayStation 4 gamers.
You can pick up the Rise of the Tomb Raider: The 20 Year Celebration video game on October 11, 2016, for the PlayStation 4, while the main video game release is currently available for both PC and Xbox One.
