In a recent interview with 1up, Junction Point studio head Warren Spector revealed that a huge team is currently working on Disney Epic Monkey. That includes 115 people working at Junction Point and if you factor in the outsourced team the total reaches a staggering 275. We might be over reacting a bit, considering that large teams are common these days with big name franchises such as Call of Duty: Black Ops consisting of a 300-person team and Assassin’s Creed 2 racking up a cool 450 developers.
Spector joked, “When you have a project this ambitious, you have to go big!” Well, he also said during the E3 conference that Disney’s most beloved character, Mickey, hasn’t been well represented in Video Games as on Television for years. With this Epic team behind him, it surely looks like the studios will be pinning high hopes for the upcoming title exclusive to the Wii.
