Fans believe they have traced where Fairgame$ is now.
We reported last May on Jason Schreier’s hint that the game has been renamed to Br€ak In. There was also a rumor that it would be shown in the big June State of Play, which of course didn’t happen.
As explained by Gematsu, fans believe that Project Espresso, currently under playtesting on playtest platform Player.GG, is actually Fairgame$. It came with this description:
…has been given exclusive access to a closed playtest of an unannounced competitive action shooter codenamed Project Espresso being developed by a AAA studio.
It is, of course, possible that this is a completely different project that happens to fit the profile. Among the reasons fans believe it is Fairgame$ is it’s been listed for PS5 and PC. It also requires a PlayStation account and an additional Steam account for PC players.
There’s also a trailer that’s described as pre-alpha footage captured on PS5 Pro. You can see the trailer below and decide for yourself if it’s what we all think it is.
