It’s looking more likely that a State of Play is coming very soon.
Nash Weedle claimed at the start of this month that Sony already scheduled a State of Play this coming September 3. That rumor has now picked heat.
Nate The Hate made this claim on social media yesterday:
Working to confirm the date; but a State of Play in September is looking incredibly likely and soon.
We won’t be waiting that long to find out if the September 3 date is accurate. But it stands to reason that Sony would have good reason to hold out eventually.
Sony’s potential agenda with a new State of Play, aside from showcasing their games, is to counterprogram the trend of bad news and sentiment surrounding the brand. This goes beyond the opposition to their all-digital plans, to Sony not having a release date for the PS6.
Will the PlayStation 6 cost over $ 1000? Will they raise the prices of all-digital PS6 games? Sony probably can’t answer these questions, but they can make fans happy by showing what they have planned now.
