There are no shortages when it comes to speculation and rumors about Grand Theft Auto VI. We’ve been waiting for this game for over a decade now. Fans will hopefully have their hands on a copy next year, provided there are no further delays that push the game’s release back. That said, while we wait for new marketing materials to come out, there are still little nods and easter eggs popping up from what has already been revealed to us.
One of those wild speculation pieces that is starting to circulate online is that Katey Sagal might be attached to the game. Katey is a popular actress, and there’s a potential connection to one of the NPCs. Otherwise, Rockstar Games may be drawing inspiration from a character Katey Sagal portrayed in the past.
Grand Theft Auto VI To Feature Katey Sagal?
The speculation comes from Reddit. Again, there’s no shortage of this kind of post on GTA 6, and we don’t blame fans. This is a massive game, and a lot of fandom is seeking to uncover anything they can about it. There’s an NPC that has already popped up, and one fan is convinced it is based on Katey Sagal or a reference to her role as Gemma Morrow in Sons of Anarchy.
While they reference tattoo placements and overall character design, others are not so convinced. They also point out that they had already made a clone of the character Gemma Morrow for an update in GTA Online. So, it’s possible that we’re not going to see another appearance inspiration based on Katey Sagal for this upcoming game.
Likewise, others have pointed out that the character reminds them more of Beth Chapman, the late wife of Duane Dog Chapman, better known as Dog the Bounty Hunter. Of course, we won’t know if either is the case for this character until the game eventually makes its way out into the marketplace, or if we start seeing more marketing materials to highlight them more.
This wasn’t the only easter egg nod that fans are pointing to. Earlier today, we reported that fans believe they have uncovered a small connection between one GTA 6 character and Trevor Philips. Likewise, fans are a little bit disappointed that they didn’t see any appearance of GTA 6 during last night’s State of Play event. So that fabled third trailer is still nowhere in sight.
