Helldivers 2 fans have been battling away for Super Earth since last year. The game has grown a big community of players as you help spread democracy across the galaxy. However, it hasn’t been enough for some players. Online, they are expressing some frustration that perhaps the endgame content here could use a bit of an overhaul. Fortunately, it appears that plans are already in place to make things a little more challenging.
Thanks to the folks over at GamesRadar, we’re finding out that some players have been chiming in on the Helldivers 2 Discord. More specifically, there have been requests to see a more challenging enemy come up, giving our Helldivers a harder challenge to clear out a planet. Thankfully, the comments weren’t ignored.
The community manager for Arrowhead Game Studios, Baskinator, has noted that they can’t reveal exact plans for what they have in the works at this time. However, they did confirm that the developers are looking at ways to provide more challenges for players. While we didn’t get any specifics, it’s reassuring that a new update is coming to bring in a little more chaos for players who find the gameplay getting a little too stale.
Of course, we had known for a while now that the developers had more updates planned. While Microsoft had a terrible week, it did get a nice little announcement. Last week, we had confirmation that Helldivers 2 would be coming to the Xbox Series X/S next month. This also confirms that new content is planned for the coming months and years.
While we know that Helldivers 2 is arriving on August 26, 2025, for the Xbox Series X/S platforms, don’t anticipate its arrival on the Xbox Game Pass subscription service. The same community manager confirmed that the developers have no current plans to bring this game to the Game Pass service. So, if you want to enjoy this game, you’ll have to pick up a copy.
