Nintendo has announced 3 new Holiday tournaments as part of their Nintendo VS series. These tournaments will run from December 27th to December 29th. The games included in this tournament are Mario Kart Deluxe, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Splatoon 3.
As announced by Nintendo on their news page, the tournaments will take place over three days, December 27th to December 29th. The competitions will occur in stages, so if you’re only interested in competing in one game, take note of the specific dates shared below.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
December 27th – December 29th
12 p.m. to 6 p.m. PT
- The top eight players have the chance to win 2,500 My Nintendo Gold points.
- To enter players need to boot up their copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Navigate to Online Play / Tournaments / Search by Code. (Codes below)
- Day 1: December 27th – ID: 2330-3437-1627
- Day 2: December 28th – ID: 4142-2830-4427
- Day 3: December 29th – ID: 1157-2807-7355
- The tournaments will be standard 150cc races, with no teams, normal items, all vehicles and smart steering are allowed. There will be 24 races with groups shuffling every 4 matches. No player rating is required.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
December 28th
3 p.m. to 6 p.m.PT
- There are three prizes
- Grand Prize: 10,000 My Nintendo Gold Points.
- Second Prize: 4,000 My Nintendo Gold Points.
- Third Prize: 2,500 My Nintendo Gold Points.
- To enter players need to navigate to Online / Smash / Official Tourney Qualifiers. There will be a message asking players to review Tournament Rules, to which they must then agree.
- The tournament format will be 1v1 with a stock of 2 competing for 5 minutes. There will be stage hazards and items (set to low).
Splatoon 3
December 29th
10 a.m. to 2 p.m. PT
- This is a team-based competition, teams need to register before the event. Registration opens from December 9th at 9 a.m. and runs until the tournament begins.
- This is a Turf War, the team that covers the most turf in ink will win 10,000 gold points for each member.
- Grand Prize: 10,000 My Nintendo Gold Points.
- First Prize: 7,500 My Nintendo Gold Points.
- Second Prize: 5,000 My Nintendo Gold Points
- Players can click here to register.
- The tournament will be a best-of-3 ladder turf war. The stages will be random and players can use anything that they’ve unlocked.
