Microsoft has announced that the Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2024 Broadcast will be held on September 26 at 19:00 JST. The stream will feature content from Activision, Blizzard Entertainment, Bethesda Softworks, and Xbox Game Studios, as well as “an exciting lineup of games from third-party partners primarily based in Japan and across Asia.” This will, of course, include games coming soon to Xbox Game Pass.
Tokyo Game Show 2024 will be held at Makuhari Messe in Mihama-ku, Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture. Over a quarter of a million people are expected to attend between September 26 and September 29.
The Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2024 Broadcast will stream live on Xbox’s social channels in many different languages, including English, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Malay, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, French, French Canadian, German, Arabic (MSA), Filipino, Hindi, Italian, Maori, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Castilian Spanish, Mexican Spanish, and Turkish.
Each year, Xbox’s logo for the event is redesigned to keep in line with a Japanese theme. For the 2024 show, a lucky black cat appears beside a Japanese player in front of the iconic Xbox Nexus. “We hope that this year’s Xbox theme brings players around the world good luck and great joy in their gaming pursuits,” the announcement reads.
Tokyo Game Show 2024 is shaping up to be one of the largest gaming events in recent history, with over 731 exhibitors and 3,190 booths currently confirmed to be appearing at the September convention. In July, Sony Interactive Entertainment announced that it would fully return to this year’s event, breaking five years of PlayStation silence at the show.
