Journey Pegged for March Release as New Details Emerge

February 13, 2012 by Josh Harmon

No DLC is planned, and you can expect a three to five hour experience.

A new batch of details have surfaced on Journey, ThatGameCompany's hotly anticipated new PSN-exclusive, including a report that the game will release in March.

The new launch window comes courtesy of the latest issue of Game Informer (via The Indie Gaming Mag). Though the report has yet to be confirmed by Sony, the date meshes with last week's announcement that development on the project had wrapped after nearly three years.

ThatGameCompany has also taken to Twitter to field questions from the fans, revealing a handful of new details in the process. Apparently, Journey will clock in at between three and five hours, but will have "great replayability."

There are currently no plans to release DLC for the game, but the developer will release Journey-themed avatars at some point down the line.

On the technical side of things, Journey won't support stereoscopic 3D, and you'll be limited to a single save file per account.

Finally, while ThatGameCompany has no plans to release a Vita version of the game, Sony owns the rights to the project, and may well decide to port it in the future.
