Xbox Game Pass Core Adds Two More Games

Xbox Game Pass Core is a small taste of what players could get with Xbox Game Pass. The subscription service opens up a massive collection of video game titles to enjoy. It’s proven quite popular with players on the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles in particular. However, if you were sticking with Xbox Live Gold for the online multiplayer access and special discount benefits, you found a change this year. Earlier this year, Microsoft brought out Xbox Game Pass Core, which replaced Xbox Live Gold entirely.

For the most part, the Xbox Game Pass Core was the same as the Xbox Live Gold subscription service. You still gain access to online multiplayer and special discounts. However, there was one notable change, and that was the removal of the free monthly games. Rather than getting two free monthly games, Microsoft instead opted to open up a collection of games that can be enjoyed. There were just over thirty games that were accessible to players that stayed on Xbox Game Pass Core. However, it was also noted that more video games would be added to the collection throughout the year.

Now, the games added to the collection would be far and few between. Instead, players who want access to Xbox Game Pass titles then they would want to subscribe to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. This gives players access to everything from Xbox Game Pass Core while opening up the full collection of titles available on the service. Meanwhile, the two new additions that are now available today are Chivalry II and Totally Reliable Delivery Service. These games were confirmed earlier this month when Microsoft revealed the new games coming to Xbox Game Pass through the first wave of December 2023.
