Diablo IV Player Has Reached Level 100 Already

June 6, 2023 by Todd Black

…didn’t the game JUST come out though?

UPDATE

How far have you gotten in the game? What’s your build and level? Let us know in the comments below!

ORIGINAL STORY

There are many different kinds of gamers out there. Some get games so that they can enjoy every second that they play in it. Then, some go in with very specific goals, like beating the game as fast as they can or trying to see if they can “break the game” by doing certain things. Another thing that gamers do is to grind themselves so they can get everything in the title and reach the highest level. That brings us to Diablo IV, where a gamer has already reached the game’s cap of Level 100.

But you might think, “Wait, didn’t the game come out today?” Yes, yes it did. However, that was for the mainline release. If you pre-ordered certain digital or “Ultimate” editions of the game, you could get into the game much sooner than others. Specifically, you had four days of play time before everyone else got a hold of it. To that end, that amount of time was apparently enough for someone to reach Level 100 before anyone else. Shall we meet that player?

This is YouTuber Rob2628, and he released a video today stating that he was the “Diablo IV World First Level 100” to showcase that he did indeed achieve that goal. Plus, he did it with a Barbarian character, which may or may not mean something.

So, how long did it take him to achieve this feat? According to him, 54 hours and 29 minutes. So, given that the game came out on the 1st for him, and it’s barely the 5th now, that would mean he basically played the game for about 14 hours each day. However, he did admit that he played the game while in a group, but that doesn’t hinder his accomplishment as part of the game’s fun is playing with others in co-op.

But wait, there’s a catch. While he may have reached that level in four days, it’s disputed whether it’s legit or not. Not legit, as in, “He really didn’t reach the level.” Instead, gamers think he cheated to get to that level. Long story short, there’s an exploit in Diablo IV that can let you reset dungeons without losing experience while you’re in a party. That would help give you high amounts of EXP and thus level you up faster.

We’ll have to see if Blizzard acknowledges this “feat.” Or if someone else comes along to challenge his claim of getting to Level 100.
