Someone who eats the souls of his enemies may not sound like much of a hero but that’s exactly what Paragon’s new character Sevarog is.
The game’s first new Hero has been added today via an update and developer Epic Games describes him as “a tank who thrives in the jungle. Sevarog uses his giant hammer, eats souls (minions or enemy Heroes), and grows in size. By eating souls, he stacks health and gains damage boosts, which make him grow and become super deadly in late game.”
All Paragon heroes are available for free and Early Access participants can start playing as Sevarog right now.
The below video should give you some insight into his abilities.
Epic has also tweaked some of its fighters as part of update 22.1 in order to improve balance. The developer noted that Heroes Feng Mao and Grux have higher win rates than other characters. As such, the development team has taken some steps to bring those Heroes more in-line with the others by reducing their damage scaling in the late game.
If those are your favorite Heroes, it’s not all bad news as their early-game damage has also been increased in order to help them remain relevant throughout a match.
Epic notes that balance tweaks and fixes will be an on-going process in future updates. The next several patches will address movement speed and travel mode, precise details of what changes to expect will be provided as the updates are released.
Additional details about the current patch are available on Epic’s website. Sevarog, as you can in the image below, does not look like someone you want to mess with. You can find more Paragon wallpapers here.
