World Of Warcraft’s 2,511 Achievements Have Been Unlocked By Two Players

February 18, 2016 by Stephen Daly

An American and a Russian player have earned more than 25,000 points.

Two World of Warcraft players have unlocked all 2,511 of the game’s achievements, Kotaku reports.

Both are Alliance players, with one being a night elf druid from the U.S. and the other being a human priest from Russia. Many of the achievements are absurdly difficult to unlock and getting all of them is a pretty staggering feat.

However, as Wowprogress reveals, several other players are on the verge of completing their own achievement hunts with only one or two left to unlock. To get to this point the two players will have needed to amass more than 25,000 points, something requiring a herculean effort. They’ll also have had to find and collect 300 mounts, all of the pets, more than 250 toys, and more. That’s before you even consider all of the challenging PvP and Arena achievements, plus the MMO’s Mythic raids and Challenge modes. Making things harder, is the number of achievements that revolve around time limits and weekly caps. It was these achievements, mostly related to PvP and Season 3, that were the last to be unlocked by the duo according to their Armory stats.

One of the game’s achievements, “Mythic Dungeoneer”, is bugged when you view the Dungeons and Raids tab and can’t be unlocked but otherwise, it’s a clear run. Notably, World of Warcraft includes a number of Legacy achievements which can no longer be unlocked due to changes to gameplay and these push the list past the 100% limit. The number of points an achievement is worth varies, with some being 5, 10, 20, 25, and so forth.

The number of points an achievement is worth varies, with some being 5, 10, 20, 25, and so forth. Combined with playing the game pretty much constantly results in a final score of a possible 25,825 points for Alliance players and a total of 25,815 for Horde players. Down Goes Van Rook, an Ashran 10 point achievement, does not have a horde counterpart and thus cannot be obtained by those players.

With the Legion expansion on the way, the possible points total will only rise further.
