We now have a release window for The Witcher 4.

In a message on social media, CD PROJEKT RED Joint-CEO Michał Nowakowski revealed that they are targeting a release window of 2028 for The Witcher 4. Michał was clear that they did not have a release date down, and that the year can also change, but this is the company’s plan.
Michał also revealed that they will be showing off The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Songs of the Past at Gamescom, with multiple streams throughout the event. This final expansion is also tentatively dated for 2027.
Earlier this year, CD PROJEKT RED announced that they intend to release three The Witcher games in the next six years. So the company actually has a lot on their plate, and they’ve foregone certain projects, including DLC for any of these three games, to lock in.
It’s been a while since we’ve seen a new CD PROJEKT RED release, but the fans will definitely be showing up once these games are ready.
