Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Gets Live-Action Commercial

October 25, 2022 by Todd Black

It’s your world, your way.

Given that we’re less than a month away from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s arrival, it shouldn’t be too much of a surprise that commercials are dropping for it. However, the one we’re talking about today is special because it is both live-action and invokes the game’s true nature. Because as the commercial showcases, both in its longer and abbreviated form, the true wonder of the Paldea Region isn’t only the new Pokemon you’ll meet. Instead, it’s an open world that you can explore at your leisure. That feature is a first for the series, and fans can’t wait to get into it.

The trailer/commercial accurately describes the feeling of being able to go anywhere you want in this new region and highlights some of the towns and places you can visit. Of course, they also show off the Pokemon you’ll meet, including the three starters of Paldea you’ll choose from. But why play alone when you can play with friends? The game’s co-op was also in the commercial, highlighting how you can travel the world together, battle one another, or do co-op raid battles against Terastal Pokemon! So not only is the game expansive, it wants you to have fun with other players as you travel! Or, as the commercial notes, it’s “your world, your way,” which means you can have all kinds of adventures.

Not the least is you riding legendary Pokemon around Paldea! Whether on the ground, on top of the water, or in the air, you’ll have access to many places thanks to these Pokemon. Accessibility to the region has never been this expansive, so take advantage of it when diving in.

The expansiveness also pertains to the three-branch story you’ll be a part of. As part of a special academy in the Paldea region, you’ll be tasked with going on a “treasure hunt.” But what that treasure is depends on what you want to do. You can do the Victory Road path for those who want the classic experience. You’ll travel the area, beat the eight Pokemon gyms, and then challenge the Pokemon League.

If you want something a bit more unique, there’s the “Path of Legends,” where you’ll attempt to find the Herba Mystica. But be warned, the path won’t be easy, and some unique Pokemon await you on that trip.

Finally, there’s Starfall Road, where you’ll battle against Team Star at their various bases and stop them from causing more trouble.

No matter how you want to play the game, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have a lot to offer you. Plus, there’s more to be unveiled and surprises to be had. So when the game comes out on Nintendo Switch on November 18th, you should get it.
