Getting Rise of the Tomb Raider for PC? Microsoft has an additional option up for you aside from Steam, if you would like it.
Rise of the Tomb Raider is now available on the Windows 10 App Store. Like other retailers that offer the Steam version, it is available for 10 % off, and if you get it now, you also get the Remnant Resistance Pack free.
As the Windows 10 version, it offers Xbox Live features on PC, including Achievements, Game DVR, Leaderboards, and more. As Microsoft will also gladly remind you, it was optimized for Windows 10.
I'm sure some fans will question why Microsoft even bothered, but if you consider how Microsoft is also bringing other former Xbox One exclusives to Windows 10, it's easier to understand. Microsoft wants to make a solid case for gamers to upgrade to Windows 10. It may not drive everyone to abandon Steam, but seeing more and more Xbox One games going to Windows 10 sweetens the pot for anyone curious and on the fence.
