Fallout 4 Mod: Craftable Ammo

November 20, 2015 by Olga Lexell

This is a really innovative mod that’s almost necessary to install.

The Fallout 4 mods are starting to pour in. Check out this incredible one for crafting ammunition. NexusMods user kr1ck has created recipes that yield x10, x25, x50, and x100 ammo each.

Here’s an example of one of his recipes:
– 1 copper
– 1 lead
– x steel
– x cloth
– x acid
– x base ammo price value

To use the recipes, you’ll need to go to his NexusMods post and download the default or “no perk restrictions” version. Use the Nexus Mod Manager to install it.

Here are his manual installation instructions:

Extract CraftableAmmo.esp and CraftableAmmo_plus.esp into your \Data folder

Edit file C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Fallout4\plugins.txt

add CraftableAmmo.esp and CraftableAmmo_plus.esp to the list.

set this file to read-only

You can find recipes on Chemistry station, which is under the Utility section. Included in the post are a few video guides as well.

If you like this explainer, take a look at some of our other Fallout 4 gameplay guides too: increasing inventory space, changing your field of view, skipping the intro video, unlocking frame rate, which settings to turn on or off, basic and advanced console commands, and disabling mouse acceleration.

And if you haven’t played the game yet, what are you waiting for? Here’s our review to help you decide if the investment is worthwhile.
