Fallout 4 Guide: Get Unlimited S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Points

November 13, 2015 by Olga Lexell

We’re not sure how long this will work.

Sorry, PC gamers – this trick is only for PS4 and Xbox One players.

Redditor /u/B-FOXY discovered the technique.

1)      First, you need to be traveling with Dogmeat (although the user has not tried with any other companion).

2)      Go back to Sanctuary and look under the dresser for a book called You’re Special.

3)      Pick up the book and once it’s in your inventory, drop it back onto the ground.

4)      Command Dogmeat to pick up the book and right before he does, pick it up before he can get it.

5)      He’ll drop it and it will still be in your inventory.

6)      Pick up the copy that Dogmeat dropped (doing this duplicates the item).

7)      Drop both copies of the book on the ground. One will activate.

8)      Repeat until you max out your S.P.E.C.I.A.L. points.

It’s hard to tell whether this was an intentional cheat on Bethesda’s part, a complete exploit, or something in between. If it’s definitely an exploit, a patch will probably get rid of it. Let us know in the comments section if this method worked for you, and if any PC gamers find something similar please post about it below as well.
