The developers at Campo Santo have just announced that their upcoming mystery game, Firewatch, will be out for the PC, Mac, Linux and PlayStation 4 on February 9, 2016. The studio previously promised a release date "soon" and have since made good on it.
Firewatch is a first-person adventure game that puts you in the shoes of a park ranger who encounters strange happenings out in the Wyoming wilderness. His only form of human contact comes by way of Delilah, his supervisor over the walkie-talkie.
Fans of r/nosleep's "I am a Search and Rescue Officer for the US Forest Service" series will have a lot to look forward to.
The game is being developed by some of the makers of The Walking Dead: Season One and Nels Anderson, the creative director of Mark of the Ninja. The game's main character Henry is voiced by Rich Sommer, who's best known for his role as Harry Crane in Mad Men.
The game began development in January of 2014. The developers are aiming for a simultaneous worldwide release with Firewatch.
