Harmonix has confirmed that Rock Band 4’s older music library is now ready to download on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
To be clear, you do not have to download your older songs now to claim them, you can just get an early head start, and for good reason.
Because of what Harmonix calls ‘1st party technical restrictions’, you cannot download songs in batches, so you will have to search for songs individually to download them.
This has also been pointed out before, but you can also only transfer your Xbox 360 songs to Xbox One and PlayStation 3 songs to PlayStation 4.
Lastly, you may have taken this for granted before, but Harmonix put all their Rock Band songs on half discount for years prior to this release. Now that Rock Band 4 is finally releasing, that discount is set to end, so that all songs will be $ 1.99 again across all platforms.
