Find Dying Light’s Super Mario World Level

February 5, 2015 by Stephen Daly

And there’s a nod to The Last of Us in there too.

Dying Light has a Destiny loot cave reference and a 'Left4Bread' Easter egg, but it seems the parkour zombie game also features a nod to something you might not expect, namely, Super Mario.

YouTuber Alex Noon has discovered a most unusual recreation of Super Mario Bros. world 1-1 in Techland's game. In the video above, you'll learn how to access this particular homage, but you will need to be around halfway through the game before you can go off and find it for yourself.

That's not the only newly discovered Easter egg, players have also found Techland's nod to Naughty Dog's The Last of Us.

Check out our 9/10 review of Dying Light, which comments, "Dying Light is zombie-killing action turned up to 11. To say that it’s “not a bad game” would be a colossal understatement. Couple all of that with a pulse-pounding soundtrack and you’ve got a recipe for something truly enjoyable."
