Halo 2 Anniversary is almost upon us and to celebrate, Microsoft has released a launch trailer for the game which we're told "defined a generation".
In the trailer we see the Arbiter admonished by the Prophets for failing to prevent the destruction of the Halo in the first game and we see Chief captured by the Gravemind.
While the game will be largely unchanged from its original release 10 years ago, Halo 2 has been given a visual overhaul and will include terminals linking it to the story of Halo 5: Guardians which is set for release next year. The trailer show all new cutscenes created by cinematics specialist Blur Studios. You can check out another cinematic trailer for the re-release here.
Halo 2 Anniversary is being released as part of The Master Chief Collection.
