Battlefront News! has gathered some new details of Star Wars Battlefront from recent developer tweets.
Victor Lundberg has been commenting recently on the playtesting of the shooter and seems optimistic about its performance, suggesting development is going quite well. Lundberg has also spoken about the game's sound effects which are also being developed at the moment. While sound can take a back seat to graphics, it forms an important part of the experience and atmosphere of most titles.
Another developer, Daniel Cambrand has also spoken positively of his experiences playtesting Battlefront, which further suggests that things are progressing well.
As for locations, Lundberg may have confirmed that the Mos Eisley Cantina is set to feature in the game when he tweeted an image of a LEGO set for that famous bar, along with the words "I have the best coworkers!" It's already been confirmed that Tatooine and it now seems that the cantina may be there as well.
Mos Eisley featured in Battlefront 2 and there was a building where the cantina music played but this could be the first time we actually get to venture into that iconic location.
Dennis Brannvall has also mentioned that he's had fun "Playing around in the snow!" Which presumably means there will be a Hoth map.
Star Wars Battlefront does not currently have confirmed launch platforms or a release date but EA has suggested that they're keen on releasing late in 2015 to conincide with the release of Episode VII in cinemas.
