We have more information on the new pre-order bonus for Batman: Arkham Knight.
These bonuses are available if you order from Best Buy, and indicate a dramatic shift in how the content is being sold. The new Harley Quinn content has been rebranded as ‘Play as Harley Quinn, and it comes with the Waynetech Booster pack, which has four upgrades for the Batmobile as well as Bruce himself. These are upgrades you can earn in the game, but will be available for you from the onset. We don’t know the full details on these upgrades, possibly because they would be spoilers on what capabilities Bruce will have. Additionally, ‘Play as Harley Quinn’ appears to be available from all retailers that do preorders, so you can look forward to that.
Outside of this, Rocksteady has hinted at playing Bruce as Bruce, in his office. To be specific, Bruce’s private office, the penthouse at the top of Wayne Tower, will feature in some way in the game. They explain how DC has full confidence in using Batman, and Bruce, and so they have taken advantage of that confidence by expanding their game to include non-Batman segments.
We’re sure Rocksteady will have Bruce doing more than filing taxes in that office, maybe planning strategies or coordinating with allies? Perhaps it will be a rendezvous point, or the scene of some key encounters? We also can’t take for granted that at some point the bad guys will find it and just trash the place.
What do you think Rocksteady has planned for Bruce’s office at the Wayne Tower penthouse? What do you want to see? Share your thoughts with us in the comments below.
