Major Nelson had a chance to sit down with Phil Spencer, head of Microsoft's Xbox Division and Microsoft Game Studios, on the eve of E3 2014. Phil Spencer has revealed that he's had a conversation with Bungie and they are already taking advantage of the extra GPU resources which will help them up the resolution of Destiny with the update of the dev SDK. The beta for Destiny starts this July, according to tweet posted by the official Destiny twitter account but was later deleted, you can check out the tweet below.
Picking up an @Xbox One on Monday? Make sure you Pre-Order #Destiny[4] to gain access to the July Beta.
Sunset Overdrive, an Xbox One exclusive, will also harness the extra power provided to the devs with the June update, just to make a few things clear about the update…the freed up resources don't necessarily mean that games can't use the Kinect at all, it has been confirmed one too many times that voice commands will still work it's only that the head tracking or body tracking features won't be available to the devs if they decide to use the extra resources freed up by Kinect.
