We have new information on another location forDragon Age 3: Inquisition. Redcliffe Castle, the very stronghold and brain center of Ferelden. Ferelden holds as long as Redcliffe Castle does.
Perhaps more as a statement of pride and of fact, Redcliffe Castle is proudly described as ‘unassailable.’ In fact, it has been captured three times in its history, in what were dark times for Ferelden.
Redcliffe Castle is, 1st and foremost, the wall that guards one of Ferelden’s most prosperous towns. Its village is placed between the border of Orlais and Orzammar’s mountain pass, making it a key route in world trade. This village is itself teeming with merchants and fishermen, who carry dwarven goods in a trade route that spans Orlais to Denerim. However, Redcliffe Castle and its inhabitants, who were granted an arling for their importance, do not mingle much with the people in the nearby village.
Redcliffe Castle sounds like the kind of place the Inquisition would be starting their adventure, or at least the place where they will be taking a reprieve in between harsher territories. Piece by piece, the world of Dragon Age 3: Inquisition is being fleshed out for the benefit of fans. We hope you’re enjoying this as much as Bioware obviously had creating it.
Dragon Age: Inquisition will be out for the PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3 and PS4 on October 7, 2014.
