There is no shortage of Star Wars video game titles to enjoy. With both classic titles well before Disney acquiring the IP to newer installments after the acquisition, Star Wars fans have plenty of titles to enjoy. Taking place between Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, players got a chance to dive into a Star Wars story being a Republic Commando. This was an action-packed tactical shooter as you go with a delta squad specially trained to take on some more important matters than what a standard trooper could pull off.
Players will be able to go across all sorts of different planets, fighting off a variety of enemies, and even if you’re not a Star Wars fan, this game still was a solid first-person shooter. Still, to this day, we’re sure that you could get plenty of entertainment out of this game. However, the game was only available for the Xbox One in terms of modern platform support.
That’s finally going to change as Star Wars Republic Commando will be making a grand return into the marketplace. Now players will find that Aspyr Media will be making ports for the video game on the Nintendo Switch and the PlayStation 4 platforms which will be coming out just over a month away at this point.
At the moment, Star Wars Republic Commando will be available for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 platforms on April 6, 2021. This should hopefully give both veteran fans and newcomers something to enjoy while we wait for the next thrilling Star Wars video game to be unveiled from Ubisoft. Unfortunately, we haven’t heard what the developers from Massive Entertainment are offering players quite yet, so maybe enjoying this classic title will give players something to do while we wait for that game announcement to hit the web.
