NHL 15 has been officially unveiled for Fall of this year, for Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
EA Sports promises to use the power of next generation consoles for the next installment of their hockey franchise, with revamped realistic phyiscs systems across the board. Among the additions to this game are on-ice collision systems, rebuilt puck physics, dynamic cloth technology, highly detailed character models, rescanned arenas, 9,000 individual crowd models, and more realistic facial models using the same system that was used on EA Sports UFC.
NHL 15 also comes with a new Stick Skills control scheme, new commentators in Mike 'Doc' Emrick, Eddie Olczyk, and Ray Ferraro, and NBC branding with the NBC Sports Gameday trademarks.
EA Sports refers to the revamped enemy AI as Vision AI, because it has an enhanced awareness of players. The new AI will ‘read’ the players’ actions and react to potential plays.
The trailer reveals nothing, except the layer of graphical detail promised in the game. We’ll keep you up to date on the latest on NHL 15 as more information is revealed. In the meantime, you can watch the reveal trailer below.
