New details have surfaced on Final Fantasy XV, from the Japanese sites for Playstation 4 and Xbox One. The two sites have markedly different descriptions, although that might not really be that big a deal considering the game is at such an early stage.
The Playstation page cites how the battle system has been changed dramatically, using the dreaded buzzword ‘realism’. In this case, Square Enix is alluding to the seamless transition from field to battle, and how quickly the situation changes mid-battle. FF XV will also allow you to switch from Noctis to other characters, and to use combination attacks.
Noctis himself will have a variety of weapons and move between areas with style. The way collaboration with unique companions has been implemented in the game is unique to it.
In the meantime, the Xbox page describes combat as a ‘high action system’ that apparently makes us of 8th generation specs to allow characters to move around the screen freely. The party battle system is also advanced, adding a new layer of strategy to party battles.
Lastly, the Xbox page hints at the game scenario. Noctis is the royal heir of Lucis, and owner of the last crystal in the world. In this position, he will find himself involved in the ‘war.’
Final Fantasy XV is coming to the Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
