Call of Duty: Ghosts LSAT Guide

February 22, 2014 by Ryan Parreno

The LSAT wins at rate of fire and magazine capacity, but needs a little help in some other areas

This is a guide for the LSAT in Call of Duty Ghosts.

The LSAT borders more on the lower end of the LMG class. You can kill with three shots up close, two with one headshot. That dips to five shots at longer ranges, four with one headshot. And so, this gun performs best at close to mid range.

To your advantage is the rate of fire, at a very rapid 800 rounds per minute you rival even some SMGs. Hipfire is poor, but you won’t have to compensate with targeting in many situations since you can make those bullets fly.

Recoil is moderate, and made worse by said rate of fire. With careful use of burst fire, however, you can compensate and handle distant targets to some degree. Aim time is on the slow side at 350 milliseconds. Furthermore, you move at 80 % of your base speed. These compromise your ability to arrange for defenses.

Magazine capacity is also to your advantage, at 100 rounds per magazine, 150 rounds for extended magazines. Reload time is atrocious at a full 8 seconds, requiring you manage bullets and look out across your surroundings for cover.

The LSAT is versatile, and your attachments should enhance that versatility. With the foregrip, your handling and the probability of hitting a target per bullet goes up. This allows you to go after more distant targets better. In terms of optics, the VMR sight is a best scenario choice. It allows you to pick a view that best suits the situation.

For Perks, Steady Aim works with that rate of fire, compensating for situations where aimed fire will take too long and you need to use hipfire. Stalker also works to compensate for your natural weaknesses with mobility, giving you increased accuracy in these scenarios. Focus is a necessity with every LMG.

You will also want to stock up on resistive Perks to improve defensiveness, or choose more handling/mobility Perks to hasten your pace.
