It wouldn’t come to be much of a surprise if you don’t recall The Wonderful 101. The video game released back in 2013 for the Nintendo Wii U and due to the console failure, the title lost the potential to really become a hit. As a result, the development studio behind the title PlatinumGames took to Kickstarter in order to once again bring out the hero title for a wider release.
Asking for $50,000, the studio ended up with just over $1.8 million which allowed the studio to not only remastered the game for modern platforms but also complete a few stretch goals. Now that the project has been in the works for a good while now, PlatinumGames has come out to alert fans just when the game would find its way into the marketplace.
Those that backed the Kickstarter and unlocked a goal that would provide a copy of the game would still see their copy release in April of this year. However, those that didn’t back the project but would still like to pick up a copy of the game would be able to do so in May of this year. Unfortunately, it looks like there wasn’t an alert of when the game would make its way into Australia.
At any rate, those that are wanting to enjoy The Wonderful 101: Remastered which not only improves on its visuals but also tweaks the mechanics for each platform, can do so for the PlayStation 4, PC, and Nintendo Switch platforms on May 19, 2020, within North America or May 22, 2020, for those in Europe.
