Namco Bandai's Tales series will be headed to the PlayStation 4, and according to a recent interview, the publisher has no plans to bring the game to the Xbox One.
Speaking to Gaming Angels, Tales series producer Hideo Baba confirmed platform exclusivity for the PS4.
“We are currently in the very early phases of work for next generation Playstation titles,” Baba said.
“But we still have no plans to bring the series back to the Xbox, or Xbox One. We feel that our core fanbase leans toward the Playstation 3 and Playstation 4, so we are focusing our efforts on bringing the best possible Tales experience there.”
Thus far, only a single game in the series ever made it to Microsoft's line of consoles—Tales of Vesperia. The game was later ported in a superior, amped up version to the PS3.
