Borderlands 3: Meridian Outskirts Crew Challenges Guide | Claptraps, Typhon Logs & Hunts Locations

September 14, 2019 by Kevin Thielenhaus

Start cleaning up those Crew Challenges on Promethea, the second planet of Borderlands 3.

The second planet you’ll explore in Borderlands 3 is Promethea — it’s a gleaming metropolis that’s under siege. The forces of the corporate giant Maliwan have invaded, all in an effort to acquire Rhys’s burgeoning reinvention of the Atlas corporation. Maliwan controls the city with an iron fist, and to reach it you’ll need to fight through the Spillways, a massive water filtration area that leads to the downtown.

Naturally, there are lots of collectibles to find. It’s also the first area where you’ll start to encounter tricky Crew Challenges. Some of these are hidden in areas you wouldn’t be able to find normally — you’ll have to ride the top of an elevator to access the Dead Drop, or explore a hanging camp to find a missing log.

Meridian Outskirts Crew Challenges Guide | Claptraps, Typhon Logs & Hunts Locations

For this guide, we’ll cover where to find Dead Claptraps, Typhon Logs, Typhon Dead Drops, and Legendary Hunt locations.

There are three Typhon Logs in each area, and there can be one or more Dead Claptraps or Legendary Hunts to find. Below, you’ll find a map with locations marked for every collectible type, and text instructions with more details to help you track them all down.

Typhon Logs are one of the most valuable collectibles. Finding all three will unlock the location of the Typhon Dead Drop. This cache is full of good loot, so it’s worth going to each location.

  • Map Key:
    • Yellow = Dead Claptrap
    • Blue = Legendary Hunt
    • Purple = Typhon Dead Drop (Cache)
    • Red = Typhon Logs

Dead Claptrap: From the Meridian Outskirts Fast Travel Station, enter the passage leading to the drop pod. There’s a small cave to the left of the path with the Dead Claptrap in an egg.

Typhon Log #1: A tricky one. Enter the hanging camp to the left as you enter the Spillways from the Fast Travel Station. Up above, climb over one of the hanging structures to find this log.

Typhon Log #2: Easy. South of the hanging camp, there’s a bifurcated concrete pillar. Look between the two prongs.

Typhon Log #3: On the edge of the concrete entrance to the underground lab. You’ll visit the interior for a side-quest.

Typhon Dead Drop: Found inside the refugee camp. Take the elevator up, then send it back down — you need to ride on top of the elevator to reach it. Drop down and press the button to reach the upper level.
