There’s a solid gold suit you can unlock in Control, and discovering it requires manipulating luck in your favor. In this completely bizarre Easter egg, you have to make yourself as lucky as possible to win a game of roulette. It’s completely optional, easy to miss, and it’s 100% awesome. It’s also something I’m proud to admit that I discovered all on my own — and there are way more weird secrets just like this waiting to be uncovered.
In Control, you play as a paranatural woman exploring an endless expanse called the Oldest House. This vast structure breaks the laws of reality, and it’s where the mysterious Federal Bureau of Control is headquartered. You arrive just as the facility is under attack by a mysterious paranormal force — and things just get weirder from there. There’s a lot to unpack in this game, but everything exists on dream logic. That sort of explains why this Easter egg makes sense. Kind of.
Roulette Easter Egg Guide | Golden Suit Unlockable
To unlock the free ‘Golden Suit’ outfit and +2 Ability points, you’ll need to travel to the Research Sector.
Before you can begin, you’ll need to be able to access the Luck & Probability area, and have a Level 5 Keycard. You’ll unlock it automatically as you progress through the story.
Travel to Luck & Probability, and unlock the Level 5 Keycard door — inside, you’ll find a Roulette Table. The goal of this Easter egg is to win at Roulette — and to do that, you need to be as lucky as possible. There are some nearby clues; read the notes to learn more about luck all around the world.
To win roulette, you need to complete the following tasks.
- Make sure the Horseshoe is pointed up.
- Take the 4-Leaf Clover and place it in the planter near the roulette wheel.
- Turn on all the lights in the room with the roulette wheel.
- Use kinesis to grab the gold fish and move it close to the roulette wheel. Hold it when spinning the wheel, or place it very close by.
- Activate the cat statue so that the paw is moving up and down.
You may also need to activate the two bouncing ball fixtures in the room — it may or may not have an effect.
If you have all the lucky items properly aligned, interact with the wheel and you’ll be rewarded with a Gold Suit and +2 AP. You can swap suits at the Central Executive Control Point, and bling up your battles against the Hiss.
