Xcom: Enemy Within will be unveiled by 2K at the gamescom covention in Colonge, Germany, on August 21st.
Speaking to Eurogamer a 2K representative commented "We're looking forward to making an announcement on August 21st!"
The publisher has not provided details on precisely what Enemy Within actually is. It could be DLC for Firaxis' Xcom: Enemy Unknown or somehow connected to 2K Marin's The Bureau: Xcom Declassified.
As CVG notes the game has been listed for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC in South Korea and has been discovered in the Steam Database.
Given that Enemy Unknown came out last year and The Bureau is set for release later this month it seems unlikely that Enemy Within is another fully fledged retail game but it could be a downloadable title or a DLC.
At Take Two's recent financial earnings report CEO Strauss Zelnick said the success of the $20 iOS version of Enemy Unknown proves that people are will to pay premium prices for quality games on mobile devices.
