Angry Birds Star Wars Lands on Consoles This October

July 18, 2013 by Stephen Daly

The Force flocks to consoles later this year.

Rovio has today announced that Angry Birds Star Wars will be released on October 29th in North America and on November 1st for PS3, PS Vita, Wii, Wii U, 3DS and Xbox 360.

Earlier this week the company also revealed that Angry Birds Star Wars 2 – a prequel based on Episodes I-III of the movies – will be released for mobile devices in September.

The game will introduce Skylanders-like TELEPODS which will be sold separately. As with past Angry Birds games the title will be accompanied by a range of toys, plushies, books and clothing.

You'll also be able to play on the "Pork side" for the Sith.

The console version of Angry Birds Star Wars will be published by Activision who also released the original Angry Birds on home platforms and you can pre-order the game if you're so inclined.
