Bethesda's Pete Hines unofficially confirmed the US release date of Skyrim's expansion packs for the PlayStation 3 last week. Following up on his statement is an official post on the Bethesda Blog today which contains full details of their releases in both North America and Europe.
Unlike its counterparts on the PC and Xbox 360, the PlayStation 3 version of Skyrim has been without its expansion packs—Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn—since their release and will only be getting them this month.
Players in North America can look forward to the following dates to download the expansions:
Dragonborn releases Tuesday, February, 12
Hearthfire releases Tuesday, February, 19
Dawnguard releases Tuesday, February, 26
While those in Europe must wait a day later for their store to update:
Dragonborn releases Wednesday, February 13
Hearthfire releases Wednesday, February 20
Dawnguard releases Wednesday, February 27
In addition to the expansion packs, the game will be updated to version 1.8 on the PS3, which has also cleared certification at Sony.
Each of these packs will be on sale at a huge 50% discount upon their first week of release, so be sure to pick them up as soon as you can if you intend on playing the game for the PS3.
