Splinter Cell Blacklist Latest ComDev Video Explains the Game’s Economy

January 10, 2013 by Alex Co

In this latest installment of Splinter Cell Blacklist’s ComDev series, Ubisoft explains how points are earned in game.

Ubisoft has released a new installment in their Community Developer (ComDev) video series and this time we get to hear about the game's scoring system. Notice I said "hear" and not "see" since Ubisoft's Zack Cooper explains everything without showing one drop of gameplay footage.

To date, there are three categories that are associated with how you finish a level. For those who prefer to take out enemies in the dark and use stealth as their weapon, they'll gain points in the "Ghost" category, while taking out enemies lethally using stealth will net you points in the Panther category. Lastly, any actions you take by going loud will earn you points in the "Assault" category.

You'll see the culmination of all these points in each level's "After Action Report," which will chart how you fare in the three categories and give you an idea on what your strengths are in the game.

If you're curious how this all looks, Cooper states we'll see gameplay footage of this in the near future. So sit tight and think over what playstyle you want to concentrate on when Splinter Cell Blacklist ships later this year for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
