Seems like Techland isn’t giving up on their open-world parkour meatgrinder Dying Light any time soon.
The different DLCs will vary from new terrifying enemies, additional story content to flesh out the game’s world, new locations and more that the devs will elaborate on at a later stage.
“Not a single day passes without requests for new weapons, outfits, and quests,” says Techland CEO Paweł Marchewka. “In the face of such enthusiasm and engagement, we cannot keep quiet. Today I’m happy to announce Techland’s continuous support for Dying Light. Original content is already in the works and our fans can expect to face new challenging enemies, master new gameplay mechanics, solve more Harran mysteries, and even explore never-seen-before locations.”
Sounds exciting, I’ve replayed Dying Light twice now, while the map is pretty large and there is a tonne of stuff to muck about with, as soon as the story is finished it feels very flat and pointless – personally, a new progression system would be nice to see and maybe more PvP content.
The first of the free DLCs will be releasing “soon” according to the developer, so stay tuned to Gameranx for more info.
