Cyan Inc’s Obduction, the successor to cult-classic Myst recently released with VR support for PC by way of Steam, GOG, Humble Bundle and the Oculus website. The history of Obduction can be traced all the way back to 2013, where a kickstarter campaign for the game helped raise over $1 million USD to make it a stunning experience for all. In mid 2016, Obduction made its launch debut, where it was met with very positive reviews. Cyan Inc has since boosted the game’s potential for immersion by announcing an virtual reality edition, and thanks to a recent announcement, we can now confirm Obduction has lift off on Mac platforms as well.
CEO of Cyan Inc. Rand Miller revealed that he has been a Mac kind of guy since the eighties, and that “many people may not realize that Myst was released on the Mac before the PC version. So, even though our Mac release of Obduction came a bit later, it demonstrates our continued commitment to the Mac platform.”
Obduction is now available through the Mac App Store. Access it here.
