Resident Evil 7 is headed to all major platforms when it’s released in early 2017, but the game’s VR content will be exclusive to the PlayStation VR, if this ad, spotted on Facebook, is any indication.
A redditor discovered this new ad from Sony that advertised the game as being exclusive to the PSVR for a duration of 12 months. The content is expected to come out on the PC and Xbox One after the game’s initial release.
“Resident Evil 7 Biohazard coming in 2017 and exclusive to PlayStation VR for 12 months,” reads the ad.
At this time, Capcom has not confirmed the release of the VR experience for any other platform apart from the PSVR, so it’s hard to say if it’s even in the works.
Previously, Capcom released the “Beginning Hour” demo for Resident Evil 7, which served as a standalone prologue that takes place prior to the events in the main title and will not be featured in the campaign.
Resident Evil 7 is set for release on January 24, 2017 for PC, Xbox One and PS4.
