The Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas is coming up, and it looks like Bioware will be bringing Mass Effect 3 for the Kinect to the party.
According to News 10, Bioware will be showing off the Kinect capabilities of the game at CES in January. While we already know that voice commands will be used to order squad mates and interact with other characters during dialogue scenes, many are wondering how and if it will actually work.
Considering Kinect was only updated to accommodate those with Australian accents recently (Kinect struggled to recognise voice commands otherwise,) there’s a little bit of skepticism from both fans and critics. However, rest assured that the Kinect capabilities are optional, so there’s no need to cancel your pre-order if the demonstration at CES is a little rougher than desired.
Mass Effect 3 is slated for a March 6, 2012 release, and recently added the Spike TV award for Most Anticipated Game to the series’ large collection of awards.
