Treyarch is bringing back the population map for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 to give players an idea of who many players are engaging with the game when it's released later this year.
An image from Treyarch was posted on Imgur showing the map and you can see it below.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare didn't feature the map and most the franchise's community on Reddit seem to welcome the return of the feature.
The shooter launches on November 6th for PC, PS4, and Xbox One but before then you can find out more about the game's multiplayer here. It was recently confirmed by the development team that the toughneess and lightweight perks will not be making their way into the game, but scavenger is.
Toughness–a perk that reduces your flinch when hit–has been a "crutch perk" that players have to use unless you wanted to be at a significant disadvantage to other players with it.
The game takes place in the future, when augmentation technology has redefined warfare and sees the return of zombies. It's also the first Call of Duty to offer players the choice between a man or woman protagonist, a decision inspired by the Mass Effect series.
Black Ops 3 will be the first Call of Duty from Treyarch to benefit from a three year development cycle, a year longer than usual.
