Little known fact: Each installment of Super Smash Bros. has featured a different voice actor for the omnipotent announcer, the most notable being Pat Cashman from Brawl, who was previously the narrator on Bill Nye the Science Guy. The current man in the role is Xander Mobus, an extremely young newcomer in the voice acting field whose lucky break as the new Smash announcer looks to be doing wonders for his career. Coincidentally, he's also the roommate of a NeoGAF member named Feep, who asked Mobus to record a bunch of custom lines for the NeoGAF community.
At the link above are nine different audio files, most of them referencing a NeoGAF inside joke. This isn't the first time (nor will it be the last) that Mobus has used his powerful vocals to have a little fun. Just below, you'll hear Mobus singing the Pokemon theme song in full announcer mode.
If you'd like to follow Mobus, his Twitter handle is @XanderMobusVO. Be sure to support him even further by buying Super Smash Bros. for Wii U when it arrives on November 21.
