This year’s San Diego Comic-Con is giving you another way to play the Batman as he appears in Batman: Arkham Knight.
Believe it or not, what you see above isn’t some hot latex suit. What it is is a replica motorcycle jacket of Batman’s Iron Man-like armor. You read that right, it’s a functional motorbike jacket!
As you may already know, Batman soups himself up in Arkham Knight in a markedly different direction than the Nolan/Bale films. As Rocksteady Studios have explained again and again, they built the game around the Batmobile first, then looked at the enhancements they made to the vehicle and put it to Batman.
Going back to reality, UD Replicas made this jacked with the cooperation and assistance of the people at Warner Bros, and presumably Rocksteady, as they have done for all their replica jackets. They’ve already made similar jackets for pop culture properties like Halo, GI Joe, KISS, and Star Wars.
So, to be clear, this may look like the stuff of cosplay, but it’s actually a notch above what those cosplayers do already on their own. It does not look like UD made the entire suit to match (they do have full Batman suits from other projects), but if you do want to cosplay the Batman, you can save a step and just buy this. Of course, even non cosplayers, especially motorcyclists, can have a lot of fun with this one.
You can get this replica jacket at booth 2913X. UD Replicas promises more details in the future, so who knows? It might be something related to the game itself.
Batman: Arkham Knight is coming 2015 to Windows, Playstation 4, and Xbox One.
