It makes a lot of sense for the new-gen versions of Grand Theft Auto 5 to come out around the same time as Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, The Crew, and Halo: The Master Chief Collection, but fans believe—based on a listing by Danish retailer Coolshop.dk—that the upcoming title will be out on November 14, at least in Europe.
A few things check out with the game’s release date. Notably, games in Europe are typically released on a Friday, of which November 14 falls on, compared to North American releases which happen on Tuesday. The release date listed on the Danish retailer’s website is of course pertinent to the game’s European release date and not its release in North America, given where it’s located.
Furthermore, the same website predicted last year that GTA 5 would be coming out on next-gen platforms as well as the PC, which has since been confirmed by Rockstar themselves at E3 2014. So even if Coolshop.dk’s release date is the result of speculation, it’s damned accurate.
Should the game be released on November 14 in Europe, it means that the game will most likely be out on November 11 in North America, falling on the same date as the release dates for Halo: The Master Chief Collection and The Crew.
In the end, it doesn’t really matter exactly when the game will be released because it’ll probably be somewhere between October to November.
