If you didn't know, Danger Close's Medal of Honor Warfighter will be getting a multiplayer beta later this month but only if you're an Xbox 360 user. Yep, sorry, PC and PS3 military FPS fans, no beta for you.
In rather good news (for Xbox 360 fans, anyway), the beta now officially has a start date. In Larry "Major Nelson" Hyrb's latest podcast, he spoke to Medal of Honor Senior Designer Ben Jones who revealed that the beta will be out on Xbox LIVE on October 5.
Jones states that multiplayer beta is similar to what was shown and demoed at this year's PAX and Gamescom, players can expect a much more refined version featuring a number of improvements…though he didn't go into detail into what the improvements exactly are.
For those waiting for October 5, the Medal of Honor Warfighter beta will feature the Sarajevo Stadium map in Bosnia. Players will partake in the Hotspot game mode and they can even check their stats on Battlelog.
So, there you have it, folks. If you want an alternative to Call of Duty when it comes to military FPS', give the demo a try and see if tickles your fancy. If it does, you might want to mark October 23 on your calendar as that's Warfighter's release date on all platforms.
Anyone excited to try this out or is still Call of Duty for you?
